How many pictures will we receive? And how long will it take?
Depending on the type of shoot you choose the amount of images you receive will vary. As a rule the majority of my shoots will include at least 3 digital images within their price, please contact me for further information on pricing.
I always advise that the turn around time from shoot to gallery viewing is 2-5 weeks. Often your images will be received a lot sooner than this, however this gives me time (especially during my busiest times around Christmas) to edit and upload your images to your digital gallery ready for you to view.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
A newborn session is best to take place between 5 and 17 days. This ensures your newborn is at the perfect sleepy stage, we are able to pose them with minimal disruption and they are totally comfortable in curled up poses (just like in Mummy's tummy)
Do your cake smash sessions include a cake?
The cake smash sessions do not include a cake in the price given. I am able to source a cake at an additional cost if this is something you wish to add, however you are also welcome to bring your own cake along.
Why do you only offer digital images?
Digital images ensure that you get your photographs back ASAP, offering digital images means there is no delay for printing or delivery times. The gallery is uploaded online, you will receive an email and your images can then be downloaded immediately in fantastic quality. It is also usually more cost effective for parents to purchase their images themselves.
How should we dress for our family session?
I always recommend neutral clothing for any sessions that I ask you to dress yourselves (IE- not a cake smash/newborn shoot where I would provide you with a choice of outfits). This ensures the shots are clean and most natural looking possible. If you have something in mind, please feel free to contact me prior to booking to discuss! Any suggestions/inquiries are more than welcomed.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, should we still book a session?
Absolutely! I aim to make sure all of my clients feel relaxed and have fun during their sessions, I realise not everyone is comfortable with staged smiling and posing so try to switch up my approach which often means my shots are more candid, natural looking shots. If at any point during the shoot you feel uncomfortable, please do not hesitate to tell me, or feel pressured to join in! Photoshoots are supposed to be fun for everyone!
What month do you start to offer Christmas sessions?
I recommend booking your newborn session whilst pregnant after your 20 week scan! Only a select few of these sessions can be scheduled monthly due to the unpredictability of baby due dates etc and so this will avoid any disappointment!
